ACDF REPORT - brief updates by the inaugural recipients of the African Chronometric Dating Fund in 2023

Please see attached a report containing brief updates by the inaugural recipients of the African Chronometric Dating Fund in 2023. As a member of SAfA, your support has been vital to the development and continuance of this scheme. We hope that these updates demonstrate the outsized impact of these relatively small grants both for the career progression of the individual researchers and more broadly for archaeology research on the continent. Please help us to spread the word about this scheme, both to potential applicants and to potential donors!

En tant que membre de la SAfA, votre soutien a été essentiel au développement et à la poursuite de ce programme. Nous espérons que ces mises à jour démontrent l'importance de ces subventions relativement modestes à la fois pour la progression de la carrière des chercheurs individuels et, plus largement, pour la recherche archéologique sur le continent. ANNOUNCEMENT: African Chronometric Dating Fund Awards Recipients 2023-2024

It is with great pleasure that the ACDF announces its radiocarbon dating funding awards for 2023-24.  They include seven (7) successful applicants from five (5) countries out of fourteen (14) projects received.

C'est avec grand plaisir que l'ACDF annonce le résultat de ses financements pour des datations radiocarbones en 2023-24.  Nous avons retenus sept (7) dossiers en provenance de cinq (5) pays sur un total de quatorze (14) projets reçus.
